Melwood FC Melwood F.C. is a long established South East London Youth Football Club. Founded in 1978, we celebrated our 30th anniversary last year (2008).

Melwood F.C. was named after Liverpool's Melwood training ground. Why? because at the time we were founded Liverpool Football Club was doing well in English and European Football therefore the perfect role model for our club.

The nature of our Football Club has always been to serve the local community, with the majority of our football players being selected from the surrounding areas. Our Club has also always encouraged parental support, this has helped towards strengthening the Club, helping to make it the Football Club it is to date.

  • Looking for a football club to join? Do you have what it takes to play as part of a team? If the answer is yes and you would like to join our Club please come and show us what you have to offer at the Clubs football trials:

  • Trial Details
    Age Groups: Under 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13's
    Trial Dates: Saturday 6th June and Saturday 13th June 2009
    Start Time: 10am
    Finish: 12.30pm
    Venue: Norbury Park (off Green Lane) Entrance via Harefield Road or Norbury Hill

    Players are required to attend both trial dates to qualify for selection, the final selection will take place on Saturday 13th June.
